Chad and Matt’s Wedding: Bucksteep Manor – Washington, MA
Chad and Matt first contacted me last fall about photographing their wedding in the Berkshires this summer. It seems to have been a while ago, but time just flew by! Chad is originally from Massachusetts, and Matt is from Minnesota. The couple have been living together in Minneapolis, so most of our correspondence has been through email and a Skype meeting. Chad always kept me up to date on their plans and kept checking in with me, and really made me feel like I was apart of the process, and not necessarily just going there to photograph it all.
Bucksteep Manor has rooms in the manor itself, and also cabins outside for guests to stay in. So many of their wedding guests stayed on the grounds for a few days before the wedding, and a few days after as well. I overheard someone saying that this group of guests were some of Bucksteeps favourites!!
Another thing I overheard was Chad’s grandmother saying that the wedding was so much fun that she wants to start crashing gay weddings!!! She was right, this wedding was a blast! They sure know how to throw a party!
.
So while I was wandering around with Chad and Matt’s rings, I came across a small magnetic chess game on the porch of Bucksteep Manor. I had to take advantage of that!

.
Chad comes from a Jewish background, so before their ceremony they both signed the Ketubah.
.
.
Chad and Matt decided that for their first dance, they didnt want to just stay on the dance floor – so they danced around the entire tent together!

Some guests choosing their booth props!
.
.
Chad and Matt’s friends prepared a dance for the newly weds! Complete with light up bands, streamers, and cardboard cut outs of the couple!
.
.
And what would a dance floor be without parasols??
.
.
The main dessert for this wedding? PIE!!!! Delicious Pie, I might add! There was also a variety of cake balls and plenty of candy for the guests!

What an amazing wedding. I love all of the little details, and I love that the grooms danced around the tent for their first dance. So sweet!
